The East Asia Business Council

Ho Chi Minh City is set to host the annual World Economic Forum on East Asia in June 6 to 7, 2010, highlighting the region’s global economic recovery that has been driven by increasing regional economic integration, dynamic domestic consumption and coordinated government adaptive stimulus measures. The region is expected to maintain high growth when the members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) fuse their markets into one by 2015.

Vietnam was ideally chosen as a venue for the forum as the current chair of the ASEAN 2010. The meeting will gather chief executive officers and board-level executives of World Economic Forum Member companies and special guests to discuss on improving their competitiveness through developing innovation driven, green economies.
